This Hilarious Parody Website Demonstrates an Internet User's Everyday Struggle...
It's called "How I Experience Web Today" and it's simply a broken website that walks you through a typical web surfer's day. It shows pop-up advertising, consent to distribute notifications prompts, and “you are using an Adblocker” prompts, among other things, that one would face when attempting to read an article online.
If you are a frequent internet user, you are aware of how inconvenient these things may be while attempting to read an article on, say, your favorite movie or television show. When you first visit the website, you'll see an almost blank UI of a Google search results page, with the sentence "I searched something" in the text box and a link on the search results page that says "Then it shows me something."
When you click the website's single link, you're sent to a parody page with cookie settings prompts, advertisements, notification alerts, and newsletter signup notifications popping up all over the place. The webpage then displays the real "article I want to read" behind all of that. The linked post will show you how to deactivate irritating advertisements in Chrome. You may also block Google FLoC from tracking your internet behavior by disabling notification pop-ups in Chrome.
Furthermore, if you close the tab, another pop-up message appears, encouraging you to leave your email for some additional bother. If you scroll down a little farther, you'll see another similar message that also invites you to give your email address.
For those who are curious, all of these pop-up messages, static and video advertising, and notification prompts are a joke that goes nowhere. The creator just intended to highlight the daily struggle that an internet reader has while trying to read a single article on their chosen subject.
If you visit our website to read a post, however, I am certain that you will not be inundated with this kind of pop-up notifications. So, if you want to keep up with what's going on in the IT world, go to Beebom right now. On the other hand, if you want to feel like an online web surfer, I recommend that you visit the parody website right now.
