The minimum and recommended system requirements to operate EA's forthcoming FPS title Battlefield 2042 on a PC have been disclosed ahead of its likely release at E3 2021. The minimal system requirements for Battlefield 2042 have been revealed in the invites for the title's next playtest, which begins next week on August 12th, and are lower than one might anticipate from such a high-end title.

Battlefield 2042 Minimum System Requirements

Let's look at the minimal and recommended system requirements for Battlefield 2042 on a PC. However, it is worth noting that when the game is released later this year, it will be accessible on additional platforms such as the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/ S, and Xbox One.

Users will need at least an AMD FX-8350 or an Intel Core i5 6600K CPU to run Battlefield 2042 on a PC. To run the game, users should have at least 8GB of RAM and 4GB of visual memory. They'd need a GPU with at least an AMD Radeon RX 560 or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

The optimum or recommended system requirements for running the title on a PC are an AMD Ryzen 5 or an Intel Core i7 4790K CPU, 16GB of RAM, 8GB of video memory, and an AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT or an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. Furthermore, players must be running Windows 10 or above and have DirectX 12 installed on their PCs to play the title. This up to 128-player shooter title requires a 512KBPS or higher internet connection. You may see a list of system requirements in the image below:

So, these are the system requirements for Battlefield 2042, both minimum and recommended. According to the minimum system requirements, the game appears to be playable on mid-tier laptops and PCs with low to medium graphical settings. Users will, however, need to upgrade their computers to make use of the Nvidia DLSS and ray-tracing technologies.
