In India, how do I book COVID-19 vaccination slots via WhatsApp?
In India, you can book COVID-19 vaccination slots on WhatsApp (2021)
1. To get started, add the MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot to your contacts list. +91 9013151515 is the phone number to call. You may also use this direct link to reach the chatbot on WhatsApp. When the link opens, select "Continue to Chat" to be directed to WhatsApp.
Note: Before we go any further, it's important to note that you can't register for the COVID-19 vaccine using WhatsApp. To register and add members, you'll have to go to the Cowin website. Basic information and a government-issued photo ID are required. To register for the COVID-19 vaccine in India, see our thorough guide.
2. Next, send the message "Book Slot" and the 6-digit OTP you received via SMS. It's also important to include the phone number you used to register for the Coronavirus vaccine. If your WhatsApp number differs from the one you used to register with COVID, you'll be prompted to input the registered number.
3. A list of all the members you've added to your Cowin account will now appear. To arrange a vaccination time for a specific member, send a WhatsApp message to the phone associated with them. In my situation, the answer is ‘1'. After selecting the beneficiary, to find a vaccination center by Pincode, touch the “Search by Pincode” option from the following message.
4. Select whether you want to see free vaccines, purchased vaccines, or both. You can view both free and paid ones by tapping on "Any." If you're trying to schedule your first vaccine shot, you'll also be given the option of selecting the immunization type.
5. After that, you must enter your area's Pincode. The chatbot will then display the nearby centers and the date and amount of dosages available. To schedule your vaccine, type the number next to the date. For example, if you want to book the slot on August 25, communicate ‘2' to the chatbot, as seen in the image below.
6. You will then receive a mail confirming your Coronavirus vaccination appointment in India. You can then go to the vaccination center on the designated date and time to receive your vaccine dosage.
