Everyone wants to use a smooth working PC or laptop but some small issues make you're PC running roughly. and in the contest, the major issue is suddenly a keyboard and mouse become inactive and disabled, to resolve this issue I have some tips and tricks and also I will also tell you why it occurred.


There are few steps which help you to overcome these types of issue.

1. Firstly check your hardware:-
  • plug out all the devices from the Windows 7 PC, wait until the next reload of its drivers, and then plug in the devices again.
  • plugin the devices by using different USB ports.
  • if you are using the USB hub between the devices and PC make sure the power is in the hub if not then Change the hub or try to connect devices with the PC directly.
  • make sure that your device's cables are in good condition and also their battery is charged or fresh because in some cases if the battery is old it may give a bad response.
  • check if there is dust on the USB ports or the sensors of the devices and PC.
2. Check your wireless connections of devices:-
  • if you're using wireless devices with your Windows 7 PC then there may be the reset option given there on your devices and might be in the PC also so reset it.
  • for the USB wireless devices, there must be a wireless receiver there simply plug it out, and after waiting for 10-20 seconds plug it as it is.
3. Check the devices:-
  • If your mouse and keyboard are not working by doing all the above methods, connect your devices with other PCs install the necessary drivers and check if it is working. If not then you must have to replace it.
4. Try to use windows 7 troubleshooter:-

Yes, it is also a useful way to detect your problem with connected devices.
Steps to start troubleshooter in windows 7.
  • Click on the start button and then click on the control panel.
  •  In the control panel select troubleshooting by searching troubleshooting in the search box of the control panel.
  •  Use hardware and sound in it and then select configure a Device.
5. Update the drivers:-

After doing all the methods above, if your device does not show on your PC, the last method is to upgrade your drivers.
  • To do this you can upgrade your windows and that is it. But after it, if your device still not working then you have to update your drivers manually.
  • first type the device manager in the search bar of the taskbar.
  • Then in the list of hardware category find the device you want to update and then update it manually.
