Android 12 Introduces a New AOSP Default Wallpaper; Get It Now!


With the launching of new Pixel phones, Google generally releases new wallpapers, such as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro wallpapers. The software giant, on the other hand, has been using the same pink sky wallpaper on AOSP since Android 7 Nougat in 2016. According to a fresh rumor from XDA Editor-in-Chief Mishaal Rahman, Google will provide a new wallpaper for AOSP alongside Android 12.1.

AOSP Wallpaper for Android 12.1

The new wallpaper was discovered in sc-v2 (snow cone version 2) with API level 32, which is expected to appear with Android 12.1. For the uninitiated, Android 12.1 will be released as a mid-cycle Android update ahead of Android 13.

The new wallpaper appears to be more abstract than the current one on AOSP. Take a peek at the new wallpaper in the gallery below:
